The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced an extension of NEET UG 2025 Round 2 counselling following the inclusion of 197 newly added medical seats. These seats have been incorporated after the National Medical Commission (NMC) provided details of newly accredited institutions, now integrated into the ongoing counselling process.

MCC noted that the scrutiny of NRI documents is still underway, which has led to a revised timeline for the second round. The updated schedule will be released shortly on the official MCC website
Breakdown of Newly Added Seats
·ESIC Medical College, Hyderabad (ESI quota): 9 seats (3 unreserved, 2 OBC, 1 EWS, 2 SC, 1 ST)
Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi (Deemed/Paid quota): 158 seats
NRI quota seats: 30
Candidates who have already submitted preferences are advised to revisit and update their choices to include these new options.
Participating in MCC counselling allows students to secure admission in prestigious medical and dental colleges across India. This process ensures fair allocation of seats, providing opportunities to join top institutions nationwide.
