The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has opened applications for its paid internship program for undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering and science. This internship provides hands-on research exposure at one of India’s premier defence establishments, making it a valuable opportunity for students aiming to build careers in R&D and technology.
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
Students currently pursuing a full-time UG or PG degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized Indian university or institute can apply.Key requirements include:
Age limit: Below 28 years
Academic qualification: Strong academic record
Eligible disciplines:
UG Internships: Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering
PG Internships: Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics
Selection Process
DRDO will shortlist candidates based on:
Minimum 75% marks or 7.5+ CGPA
Academic performance in all previous semesters
Online or telephonic interview (if required)
Verification of academic documents
Only students from AICTE/UGC approved institutions will be considered.

Internship Stipend Details
The internship runs for 6 months, and the stipend is granted only if the intern is present in the lab for at least 15 working days per month.Stipend distribution:
First installment: After 3 months
Second installment: After completing 6 months
